Starting the Journey

So, here we are, here I am.

After finding out that my essence, I will say, is that of the jaguar, I have found great peace. I found great peace in that I have always loved jaguars. And I have always felt a connection with jaguars, especially black jaguars.

The first thing I did after generating my Mayan sign was to get a full reading.  I did this to get a better understanding of the energies I had worked with in my past. I also wanted to gain insight on how to proceed in the future.

So I read my report and found out that I am jaguar, 7, rabbit

This means that I have: The birth Day Sign of the jaguar. The galactic tone – my cosmic energy – is a 7. And my trecena sign – the ruler of the thirteen-day cycle – is rabbit.

The Plot Thickens

I checked further to see what my day sign could tell me.

Jaguars keep to themselves. Yes, that is me. Jaguars see things that others do not see. Yes, that is me. This one resonated in that I see things physically and spiritually that others do not see. Jaguars are psychic.  Yes, that is me also. Even just this bare-bones information resonated with me to the core.

From here I continued researching and found out more about jaguars.

We are strongly connected with Mother Earth. We are also very sensitive, avoid confrontation and we’re all things magick. This jaguar energy is such that in Mayan tradition children born on the day of the jaguar are expected to be Shaman or Day Keepers.

This got me thinking that this, THIS is serious energy. This is definitely something that I need to embrace and absorb. I want to embrace this.

The question is how?

Next Steps

As energetic beings, it is of the utmost importance that we function energetically.

We need to be; be who we are and be what we are in its most authentic sense. Human beings’ innate purpose is to be the best we can be. However, we tend to, due to societal influences, get stuck in the muck and mire and lose ourselves.

And so, learning about ourselves is, I feel, the single most important thing we can do to make our life here go smoothly.

With this knowledge in hand, I decided to take it to the next level and get an in-depth reading on my entire chart.  I wanted to do this to be able to see how all the links fit together and what changes I may need to make to move forward and embrace all of me.

We will talk about my detailed reading next time on Mayan Jaguar Time.

  1. Thanks for sharing your thoughts about your jaguar sign, it is interesting to hear from another jaguar, I too have been taking my sign seriously and connecting with the energy of this sign. I am a tone 13 jaguar and believe i feel this energy in a very strong way. One simple way i connect with my jaguar sign is through gardening and being in nature as much as I can. For me it also explained my interest in shamanism as well as spirituality and religion.
