The Mayan Sign and Day of Water

Today is the first day of the 13-day Water Trecena. So, in the spirit of today, we are sharing one of Fatih’s videos on the Mayan Sign: Water.

The Water Trecena

Today – 8 December 2020 = 1 Water / Muluc (Yucatan) / Toj (Kiche)

This particular day is described as:

The word Toj literally means “payment” or “an offering,” with the understanding that we are making payment and offering to the spiritual world.

Thus, this 13-day cycle can be a time when we do important spiritual work aimed at bringing our relationship with the spiritual world into new harmony, correcting any sense of imbalance or unease which we may have with the cosmos that lies within us.

Toj is also the day which symbolizes the “sacred fire” which lies at the heart of Mayan ceremonial life. Many of us, who live in cities, will not have the opportunity to light such fires, but a few candles on the altar will certainly be helpful.

The Mayan Sign: Water

Water is the ninth day sign in the Mayan ‘zodiac’. It is also known by the name Muluc or Toj.

If your main Mayan sign is Water, or you have it somewhere in your Tree of Life, the following video will be particularly interesting for you.

Fatih shares:

This is quite a difficult day, and those born on this day probably have a difficult life.

The reason for this is because, if you look at the Mayan culture you will see that they do ceremonies with water, and they will ask the water to purify, clean and harmonize their society.

So, as a Water person, you also have a similar purpose in this life – You’re here to clean the collective karma of your group, your society.

Of course, this can sound bitter, but of course, there is a way out of this. And this is actually one of the most beautiful signs in the Mayan sign system, once you know how to work with it.

Cleanse the karma and let it flow

The Water sign is an interesting sign, and reminds me a bit of the Owl sign, in a sense that, it carries what may seem like a heavy burden – to cleanse karma.

But, life is often all about how you look at things.

As with both signs, when you learn to work with it and embrace it, it only makes you stronger. By reframing your mind and seeing it as an opportunity to grow and give back to the collective, you can see that it offers an opportunity to have a powerful life experience.

Fatih continues:

Water is the day of giving back, paying back, kind of a sacrifice.

Of course, sacrifice sounds very painful. But, once you connect with your spiritual essence and you understand that prayer is very strong for you, you can pray for the cleaning of your karma, you can pray for the purification of the people around you.

The Mayans also recommend that you make a little ceremony every water day, every 20 days.
Make a fire, or light a candle or incense and pray, so that this energy can be cleansed from you and you can be successful with your purpose in life.

The more you do it, the more you’ll learn how to resolve the karma, and you’ll have a beautiful life, and your water will flow very smoothly.
