In the cosmovision of the modern Maya (though not in classical times) Kej is the year lord of the eastern direction, and east is the direction of beginnings. This is a great time to start something new.

Deer is the seventh Day Sign in the Mayan sign system. It is also known by the name Manik or Kej.

I was born in the Deer Trecena and I certainly relate to this aspect. I always see the pure potential in others, and I love helping them see it. However, I have to constantly remind myself to appreciate my own powerful potential too.
That is why this Mayan sign system is such a beautiful tool for personal and spiritual growth. It has an incredible way of encouraging self-exploration. It never feels like it is telling you what you are, but instead, it’s encouraging you to explore yourself.
