The Mayan Sign and Trecena of the Deer

Today is the first day of the 13-day Deer Trecena. So, in the spirit of today, we are sharing one of Fatih’s videos on the Mayan Sign: Deer.

The Deer Trecena

Today – 24 February 2021 = 1 Deer / Manik (Yucatan) / Kej (Kiche)

The 1st day of the Deer Trecena is described as:

Kej is a day of raw energy and power. This day can remind us that our potential is limitless. At the same time, a Kej day may challenge us to use our skills and our energy with integrity, for Kej is a guardian. It is the guardian of wild nature and of shamans. In the cosmovision of the modern Maya (though not in classical times) Kej is the year lord of the eastern direction, and east is the direction of beginnings. This is a great time to start something new.

The Mayan Sign: Deer

Deer is the seventh Day Sign in the Mayan sign system. It is also known by the name Manik or Kej.

If your main Mayan sign is Deer, or you have it somewhere in your Tree of Life, the following video will be particularly interesting for you.

Fatih shares:

Deer signs like to travel. Life is seen to be a spiritual journey to you. It’s not just travelling for the sake of travel, it reminds you of your spiritual potential, which is strong for you.

This sign is seen as the carrier of the staff of power. So you have integrity and a strong spiritual power within you. And you’d like to share it with others, which makes you quite compassionate as well. You have a compassionate heart and you like social groups and have a lot of friends.

Remember you have huge potential too

Below Fatih talks about the ability of the Deer Sign to see the potential in others. But, how it’s also important to recognize this in ourselves.

I was born in the Deer Trecena and I certainly relate to this aspect. I always see the pure potential in others, and I love helping them see it. However, I have to constantly remind myself to appreciate my own powerful potential too.

That is why this Mayan sign system is such a beautiful tool for personal and spiritual growth. It has an incredible way of encouraging self-exploration. It never feels like it is telling you what you are, but instead, it’s encouraging you to explore yourself.

Fatih continues:

As a Deer person, you’re very friendly and have a very supportive personality.

This can make you a strong compassionate spiritual leader, or any kind of leader. You believe in the potential of everyone else, which makes you a life coach by birth.

That is why I call Deer Signs Natural Born Life Coaches.

One area that you usually have a blind spot is when it comes to your own potential. Just try to remember that you also have a huge potential, and when you remember others, don’t forget your own.
